D’Avekki Studios launched a Lovecraftian-inspired FMV game known as The Infectious Madness of Doctor Dekker before this year on PC, and it currently holds an extremely positive score on Steam. Today, Wales Interactive, who’ve printed previous FMV games on consoles such as The Bunker along with Late Shift, revealed that they have partnered with the previous programmer to attract The Infectious Madness of Doctor Dekker into PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch following spring.
For players control a psychiatrist who is hoping to solve a murder case up patients of Doctor Dekker, who recently died. The game lets players enter their own questions and phrases into the game in order to find responses . This mechanic has been altered in the console launch to rather allow players choose from a suggested questions checklist to streamline things, even though players will still be able to form their own queries should they attach a computer keyboard.
Also keep the experience fresh and the murderer is selected randomly to prevent spoilers. There are also multiple unique stories with multiple unique endings for players to experience, therefore The Infectious Madness of Doctor Dekker appears to be fairly deep for an FMV game.
David Banner, Co-Founder and Managing Director at Wales Interactive, had the following to say regarding publishing the game:
“”We could not be more happy to bring D’Avekki’s sinister murder puzzle to PS4, Xbox One and Switch. Our previous interactive movie titles, Late Shift and The Bunker, have been very well received and our expanding community of FMV fans have voiced a desire for us to publish more of those titles. TIMODD is just another terrific example of a modern FMV game and we are thrilled to collaborate with D’Avekki Studios to bring this title to a broader audience.”
