Every game in the Mega Man X series will be coming to modern consoles, including the Nintendo Switch. Founded in Capcom’s Mega Man 30th Anniversary livestream, it was disclosed that the group will be making its approach to the form of consoles. Better yet, gamers can expect the collection by Summer 2018.
Right now, this is all of the details we have. Unanswered questions include “will these games have been grouped together within a collection such as Mega Man Legacy Collection along with Mega Man Legacy Collection 2, or should we be expecting individual releases? At a PR email, Capcom let’s know they will have more information available in the upcoming months.
Fortunately, this isn’t the only Mega Man news on the 30th-anniversary livestream. Based on Capcom, fans can anticipate a brand new mainline game — Mega Man 11 — to get Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, and Xbox One next year. And though the details on this game are also thin, you can assess the 2.5D action-packed trailer in the article.
Even the Mega Man X series started in 1993 and also hasn’t seen a mainline entrance since 2004 using Mega Man X8 — not including the ZX spinoff series, of course. However, the series (which undoubtedly has its own share of duds) is well-loved by many, offering a redesign in both graphics and control into the mainline platforming of all Mega Man titles.
