Destiny 2 players got a massive batch of fresh content in the launch of this game’s first expansion this week at the form of “Curse of Osiris,” and while which includes a swath of new weapons and gear for players to use because of their Guardians, one of the game’s fresh Exotics is proving to be a bit overly useful when it has to do with the game’s PvP manners.
Since the launch of “Curse of Osiris” this week, so many players have reported (such as on Destiny subreddit) that one of the new Exotics included in Destiny 2‘s “Curse of Osiris” growth — the new Trace Rifle known as “Prometheus Lens” — has been shown to be somewhat overpowered from the game’s competitive PvP modes, where the rifle is capable of taking players down within only a couple seconds.
One movie specifically that’s been making the rounds online (out of YouTube user SuperBrunch) highlights that the weapon’s over-effectiveness as the player takes down 6 players in just 30 seconds using Prometheus Lens.
In response to player feedback on the weapon online, Bungie community director David Dague explained via Twitter that Prometheus Lens “delivered using a bug,” and included that the studio will probably “address the issue” and offer a clearer view at what will be done to balance the weapon at the studio’s following weekly blog post.
Destiny 2 is available now on PS4, Xbox One, also PC.
Prometheus Lens shipped using a bug. We’ll deal with talk and matter options in ‘This Week about the site At Bungie’.
