2B and Persona 5’s Hero Crowned DualShockers’ Best Waifu and Best Husbando 2017

A couple of days before, we requested you to vote for your best waifu and greatest husbando of 2017, and always the turnout was wonderful. It always makes me smile when a lot of you rally   to support a somewhat loony and tongue-in-cheek initiative such as this.

Well more than a million of you voted for their favorite characters, such as many popular choices, but also many who were definitely not mainstream, showing how diverse the preferences of our readers are. Without further ado, here are the results:

The vote for the best Waifu was close one of the two that had been deemed by way “best girl” by our subscribers. Finally, YoRHa 2B from NieR: Automata arrived on top. She managed to leave only a couple of inches supporting our runner-up, Makoto Nijima out of Persona 5. Dividing the sexy android and the conflicted Student Council President that there have been just four votes.

Moving on to Best Husbando, votes were far more spread out among many unique candidates. The winners didn’t abandon the remainder of the pack behind up to among the waifus, and the gap between first and third was just seven votes.

The crown for the best Husbando goes to Persona 5‘s Hero, or Ren Amamiya because he has only been known for its anime. Runner-up by just a hair is Kazuma Kiryu out of Yakuza 0 and Yakuza Kiwami.

We should definitely provide a round of applause to Goro Majima, additionally from Yakuza, that set just two votes supporting Kazuma Kiryu. The amount of these volatility for Yakuza‘s duo of protagonists actually beat the grand total for the man cast of Persona 5. Other honorable mentions are YoRHa 9S from NieR: Automata, Link from   The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the WildYusuke Kitagawa along with Ryuji Sakamoto from Persona 5, William from NiOh, and   B.J. Blazkowicz from Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus.

Needless to say, we should not forget all of the developers involved in the design of the a number of different characters that proved popular amongst you.
