Today, during its CES press conference, HTC Vive announced the Vive Pro, an upgraded version of the current virtual reality headset built for companies and VR Fans,
The headset includes revamped ergonomics designed for comfort of wear and use, high-resolution headphones with an integrated amplifier, and better optics.
The crown jewel of this headset is a massive joint resolution of 2880 x 1600, which the provider claims to be a 78% increase on the existing Vive.
At the present time the launch date and price haven’t been announced just yet, however you can probably expect this to not be cheap. At all. You can see exactly what it looks like in the trailer in the bottom of the post.
Perhaps even more intriguing is the Vive Wireless Adaptor which will work with both standard HTC Vive and Vive Professional. It gives wireless VR because of the execution of Intel’s WiGig technology, and it will ship in Q3 2018.
Last, but not least, we also get the statement of Viveport VR, which will be a big update to the Viveport encounter. It gives a totally interactive preview of content rather than the typical 2D catalog. You can also check it out on the second trailer below.
