THQ Nordic has slowly accrued several IP in the couple console generations over the last couple of years and continues to be re-releasing a number of these titles recently, like Titan Quest and the very first deBlob. Last year, THQ Nordic re-released de Blob 2 on PC; now, they disclosed that the game has also been ported to PS4 along with Xbox One, also will launch on February 28.
After THQ went below, the series’ future looked grim, but these current remasters by THQ Nordic (that used to be known as Nordic Games) will hopefully re-ignite the series’ fame.
At de Blob 2, a cult has taken over Prisma City and emptied it of its color, so the titular blob must platform around his away, restoring colour to the world and beating against his enemies. The game includes twelve large single player levels, many new power-ups when compared to the first game, and multiplayer support.
You can check out the announcement trailer for the console versions of the game below. De Blob 2 is currently accessible on PC, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii and Nintendo DS, and will include PS4 along with Xbox One to this lineup of consoles on February 27, a little over seven years after the game’s initial release.
