Payday 2 attracted players the opportunity to collect together on complex heists across consoles and PC, and now those heists will soon be taken on-the-go with all the upcoming Switch variant of the game once it arrives for the system next month.
During now’s Nintendo Direct Mini, Nintendo revealed that Payday 2 will launch for the Nintendo Switch for $49.99. Together with the game’s release about the Nintendo Switch (and providing players the first mobile version of the game), Nintendo also revealed a new character will be coming together with the Switch launch next month called Joy.
Joy is a “Japanese computer whiz” that includes packing a cool-looking LED mask and her own set of technical weapons and hacker skills, and should offer some special approaches to players in Payday 2 when she comes with the Switch launch. Joy will be a timed-exclusive character that’s debuting on the Switch, but can come to additional platforms down the road.
Along with this new personality Joy, publisher 505 Games also confirmed that the Switch variant of Payday 2 will also have a local multiplayer alternative for the game in CRIME.NET, also enables players around the exact regional network to join games perform together (though online choices will continue to be accessible for players with the option).
Payday 2 is currently on PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, PC, and Linux, and will head into the Nintendo Switch on February 27th, 2018. To get a closer look, you can check out the game’s trailer for your Switch launch below:
