D.I.C.E. Awards Nominees Announced: Horizon Zero Dawn Leads with 10 Nods

Today The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences reached out with a Media release to announce the nominees for Its 21st D.I.C.E. Awards.

The award ceremony will happen on February 22nd at Las Vegas as the orgasm of this 2018 D.I.C.E. Summit.

68 unique games obtained a nomination, together with Guerrilla Games’ Horizon Zero Dawn  top the pack with ten nods.   The Legend of Zelda: The Breath of the Wild follows six nominations.   Hellblade: Senua’s SacrificeUncharted: The Lost Legacy, along with  Cuphead got five nods.     Gorogoa, Playerunknown’s BattlegroundsSuper Mario Odyssey received four nominations.

Candidates for Game of the Year are Horizon Zero DawnCuphead, Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds, Super Mario Odyssey, along with  The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

All the nominees were selected by members of the Academy’s peer panels, with a board for each award category. Each panel consists of “industry experts” (largely game programmers or agents of publishers)as well as the winners will be decided via a  confidential voting process.
