In response to negative feedback, the programmer retracted their announcement and revealed that both Blake Belladonna and Yang Xiao Long will be available for free. Ultimately, the cause for concern was that fans believed they weren’t obtaining a full game at launch.
DualShockers had the opportunity to sit back with SNK Heroines Tag Team Frenzy producer Yasuyuki Oda and programmer Kaito Soranaka to ask how the staff in SNK would approach DLC characters announcements for their upcoming fighting game. Soranaka-san’s reply suggested they’re learning from BlazBlue‘s errors.
“Since BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle received bad feedback about the way they announced that their roster and DLC personalities, we really should consider how we are going to approach future statements. ”
NISA Senior Product Marketing Manager Travis Shrodes added that there are no DLC statements at this moment as a follow up to this query, but they do intend to release a “complete game” at launching on disk and cartridge.
SNK Heroines Tag Team Frenzy comprises popular female fighters from the SNK library in a 2 vs. 2 fighting game. Players can activate special moves by pressing a single button if they desire. The game could be played on line and include modes including a Story Mode and Spectate manner, where players may wager in-game points on who will win a game. Points can buy accessories for outfits, audio clips, as well as other customization choices.
