Throughout Ubisoft’s investor conference call, Chief Executive Officer Yves Guillemot along with Chief Financial Officer Alain Martinez Spoke about the publisher’s outlook about the Nintendo Switch.
Martinez stated during the prepared remarks that Ubisoft is “very happy” by the performance of both Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, that was the best-selling third party game on the Switch at 2017, also adding the success of its launch in Japan confirms this trend. Thanks to this Switch’s “strong momentum” the game needs to benefit from long-term sales, and Ubisoft is the “clear third-party pioneer” on Switch, and they mean to continue to build on the “good ten-year-plus connection with Nintendo. ”
After in the Q&A Guillemot affirmed the relationship with Nintendo “continues to increase,” along with the writer is “very happy” with what had been attained using Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, and Just Dance was also a huge seller on the Switch. He added that in the future they’re “likely to do ”, additional items but mayt provide further details for now.
