Barlog was requested on Twitter by a lover about if he’d should update into the PS4 Pro for the absolute most from God of War. Barlog reacted with this:
Nope, you don’t need to, but if you do 4k is AMAZING, even when you’ve got a 4k TV, obviously. If you don’t, we have a performance style that puts the additional power to utilize and also makes the game run so smooth!
In a follow-up question, Barlog confirmed this performance mode will only be available on the PS4 Pro. He also stated in this answer:
“in the event that you crash in 1080 on pro it’ll use the power normally used to render in 4k to create the game run faster. It looks/moves sooooooo nice. ”
That means that even in the event you own a PS4 Pro but maybe not a 4K TV, you’ll continue to have the ability to reap a lot of benefits because the game will run at a higher fps than what is standard. It’s’s worth noting that people that are obsessed with games hitting 60fps, it hasn’t already been confirmed as of yet this performance style could lock the game within that framerate. In fact, as is standard with other performance modes, it’ll probably be near 60fps but will change if required.
God of War has been supposed to launch in just about three weeks on April 20. Before that time we’ll surely receive more details on the gap between the way the game will run to the standard PS4 in contrast to that of the PS4 Pro. Until then, feel free to take a look at a current trailer for the game displaying battle and yet another recent TV commercial to help you over until release.
