New God of War Trailer Shows How Sony Santa Monica Brought Atreus to Life

Today Sony Interactive Entertainment released a new trailer for the forthcoming action-adventure God of War.

The movie, narrated by Gameplay Engineering Lead Jeet Shroff, provides us a glance into a great game titles, and to the way Kratos’ boy Atreus was designed and implemented into the game.

Considering that Kratos certainly doesn’t want “aid” in combat, it appears to have been quite the challenge to create Atreus feel useful and not like he’s just getting in the way. This was finally attained by providing him his own button, allowing to activate special skills like magnificent enemies, and permitting the player to build him up into his personal playstyle.
