In what is perhaps the strangest story of the week, it seems that Minecraft players will soon have the ability to earn Xbox Live accomplishments while playing with the game Nintendo Switch.
Patrick Maka was among the very first by which he tweeted out a screenshot of this achievement to notice this revelation over list. Much like the iOS along with Android variants of Minecraft, it would appear that the Switch version will boast the same achievements as another stage that the game has appeared on.
Polygon was able to confirm by reaching out to Microsoft, what Maka discovered. An agent from the firm stated and responded:
“We can confirm that Minecraft players on Nintendo Switch will have the ability to make achievements tied to Xbox Live after the Bedrock upgrade is released. ”
Among the underlying things that made this scenario possible was probably due to the fact that the Switch doesn’t have a native achievement program connected to this console. The PS4, on the other hand, doesn’t boast these achievements because of the usage of this console’s trophy system.
As of now, we overlook’t have a timetable for when the Bedrock update will soon be rolling out for Minecraft on Switch, but it likely won’t be too long following that the update has released for different platforms. When it will release all you’ll have to do is just login to your Xbox Live account on the Switch to start bringing those accomplishments.
