After a retailer listing from Walmart gave a post of Rage 2 possibly being on the horizon, speculation has run rampant this week which the title may be one of what Bethesda Softworks is planning to unveil this year at E3 2018, and it appears the studio is getting ahead of the game a bit and is planning to announce a Rage followup very shortly.
Bethesda Softworks has launched several new teaser pictures on its Twitter webpage within the last day, with all the new graphics in query showing places around the globe highlighted in pink. After a first teaser yesterday demonstrating the Big Ben Tower at London, the second reveals a rocket boat covered in pink with “5-14” etched across the side – which fits with the clock face from yesterday’s picture which had a time of “5:14. ”
Likewise, the image highlights what looks like Sukiyabashi Crossing from Japan covered in pink highlights. Finally, the fourth (and likely most telling) image shows a lineup for Anarchy Tours, with a very Rage-appearing personality waiting in line.
While we don’t know for certain yet whether the game will in fact be called Rage 2 (or the announcement might possibly be something else entirely), it will look pretty possible the 2011 post-apocalyptic shooter will be getting a follow-up, and if the “5-14” marks from the images are any indication, it feels like people’ll get to watch the game in activity (and officially revealed) next week.
