After the announcement of PixelJunk Monsters 2 at this year’s GDC, Limited Run Games has announced that they’ll be releasing a physical variant of this game for Nintendo Switch, PS4, and PC.
Though the long-awaited tower defense game will be available for electronic download on all the aforementioned platforms on May 25th, enthusiasts are going to have the option to find a tangible version of the game in their hands, though the exact release date of the physical variant isn’t understood just yet.
Restricted Run Games has said that they will be adding all the paid DLC together with the physical edition of the game, and then, will simply send out the physical copies once that content has been published digitally.
Alongside the bottom variations of each physical variant, Limited Run Games can also be releasing a Collector’s Edition for every stage. When these variations cost considerably greater than the base game, they include a lot of extras like a poster, even the game’s soundtrack, a SteelBook case, and even more. When some people on Twitter have taken issue with Standard Edition’s cost of $39.99 (as opposed to the $13.49 it is possible to spend on Steam into preorder the game digitally), Limited Run Games has shown the physical edition will comprise of all of the paid DLC.
PixelJunk Monsters 2 will release digitally for PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC on May 25th, 2018. Preorders for PixelJunk Monsters 2‘s bodily release will go on Restricted Run’s site that Friday, May 18th at 10:00 am Eastern time.
