PS VR and PC Title Rec Room is Adding Its Own Battle Royale Mode in June

After the explosive popularity of games like   Fortnite along with  PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, everyone and their mom is swarming to get in on the battle royale, and that June that will seem to incorporate the PlayStation VR social team, Rec Room.

On the PlayStation Blog, developer Against Gravity declared that Rec Room will be adding its own spin on the Battle Royale genre with a new mode called “Rec Royale, ”” that will be releasing on June 7th, 2018.

The style itself will perform quite like a normal Battle Royale title where players will seek to get rid of others as well as the last man standing, though using a new modifications to incorporate VR.   The Rec Royale mode will probably be available at no cost within  Rec Room, and will be cross-platform between players across PS4 and PC.

Against Gravity gave a few more specific details that Rec Royale will support 16 players, although the atmosphere will occur inside of a grand national playground where players may scavenge for loot and weapons across hills, lakes, forests, and much more. Players with documented accounts for Rec Room will likewise have the ability to get a public alpha for the approaching mode this weekend from May 25 – 27 ahead of its launch next month.
