Daedalus: The Awakening of Golden Jazz Announced for PS4, Switch, and PC by Arc System Works

Today’s issue of Weekly Famitsu comprised a spread revealing Daedalus: The Awakening of Golden Jazz, that was formerly teased without the information.

The game is a prequel of the Tantei Jinguji Saburo series, known in the west as Jake Hunter Detective Story.

The protagonist isn’t Saburo Jinguji/Jake Hunter, however his grandfather, Keisuke Jinguji, and it’ll be set in nyc. Needless to say, no western release has been announced yet.

The game has a few relevant new mechanics compared to this Jake Hunter series. You can change your “position ” when interacting with a personality, in order to extract information more efficiently using the proper stance. It’s possible to imagine Keisuke Jinguji’s “shrub of idea ” by placing information together then harvesting metaphorical fruits to get closer to the process of a mystery.

Last, but not leastyou can investigate a crime scene. Some of the components you could discover can add a branch to the tree of thought, and based upon your position the things you see may also alter.

You can have a look at the first screenshots below, keeping in mind that they’re – magazine scans, so the quality is far from perfect.
