Tied Together, the most recent name from Dutch developer Napalmtree, is a combined platformer made to keep you and your buddies close. Literally, that is, as you and your fellow players will be tied together within this game.
Announced exclusively for the Nintendo Switch, Tied Together comprises all of the trappings of your typical platformer. Players will need to avoid obstacles, jump from one stage to another, and locate hidden keys around every phase. Of course, players will have to coordinate these activities in tandem with the one to 3 players that they ’re attached to.
Besides those tried and true platforming tropes, Tied Together also seemingly has a very dynamic physics system. From the gameplay revealed in the preview, every character seems to have their own distinct feeling of weight to them. This overarching awareness of gravity, coupled with all the game’s end mechanisms, balloons, and sharp objects hiding around each corner, seems to combine the fluidity of Super Mario Bros.. Using the calculated nature of a billiards game.
In general, Tied Together seems to serve as a trust exercise just as far as it serves as a game. There’so no doubt that players will have to clearly communicate together about their upcoming movements and sort out plans to avoid a number of this game’s many lava pits or surfaces that are threatening. Whether or not you can stay friends subsequently, well, that’s up to you.
Even though the game’s publication Headup Games has not announced a launch date, the trailer states that the game will be coming soon
