Among the most intriguing elements of this week’s graph is that two 3DS games, Etrian Odyssey X along with  WarioWare Gold are at first and third location. Seems as the 3DS is much dead in Japan. It makes solid numbers hardware-wise. Considering that it’s only shy of 24.15 million units sold, which ’s really surprising.

This ’s quite funny considering that some believe that publishing 3DS games nowadays is “such a waste. ” Perhaps it’s actually isn’t.

Apart from that, the week was fairly silent, without giant releases and Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum’n’ Fun!  (that we recently learned will come west in November) continued to do strong sales thanks to its summer breakthat is just a perfect fit for this type of game.
